There are a few ways to be involved in Business Connections International (BCI). Which one is right for you?
MEMBERSHIP:
As a member, you have all benefits of BCI. You are allowed to provide others with a weekly elevator spot (a 45-second verbal ad about your business).
You also qualify to be one of the spotlight presenters (SP). Depending on the number of members, the SP time is between 8 and 15 minutes. Groups that are smaller have one 15-minute SP every week. If you are part of a connection team, sometimes known as a chapter, that has more than 45 members, there will be two presenters each week and thus they are shorter.
VIP GUEST:
Asa VIP guest, you have most of the benefits of BCI. You are allowed to provide others with a weekly elevator spot (a 45-second verbal ad about your business). You do not qualify for a SP spot while in this status, but your connection team will place you on the presenter list when you are projected to become a member. As a VIP GUEST, when there are votes about the connection team, the VIP GUEST may contribute to the discussion but may not vote.
GUEST / SUBSTITUTE:
A guest is someone invited to the connection team meeting to see what BCI is about. A Guest is allowed to provide others with an elevator spot (a 45-second verbal ad about their business).
A Substitute is also invited to the connection team meeting but has an additional duty to who invited them. A Substitute provides the weekly elevator spot for the MEMBER or VIP GUEST. The Substitute also is allowed to provide others with an elevator spot (a 45-second verbal ad about their business).
As a GUEST / SUBSTITUTE, when there are votes about the connection team, the GUEST / SUBSTITUTE may contribute to the discussion but may not vote.
